Client: Jean & John
Knowle, Bristol
Magical is how I would describe this one!
One of our biggest projects in the last few years was finally signed off yesterday for Jean and John in Knowle, Bristol.
We actually completed this is January but wanted to keep it a secret until the planting had time to settle in and establish......
On this project, underneath the beautiful Victorian water tower in Knowle we moved well over a 100 Tonne of materials going out and in all in the wettest, coldest months of the year with multiple levels changes and steps to deal with on route, but what an incredible space! We once again got the privilege of working with Kate @katesavillgardendesign who designed this stunning landscape for the clients and then Green Bear built it! We used reclaimed bricks to build up and create multiple levels of paving using an Indian Sandstone riven paving, within the upper garden ready for a summer house base, steps leading up the garden and joining the levels together and larger patio areas to entertain and enjoy. We repaired a 3M section of the existing stone wall that had fallen into disrepair, erected some 2x1 softwood screening to go behind the summer house and some planed 2x1 larch to run down the garden for added privacy. We laid armoured cables for power to the summer house and then created a beautiful framed lawn with brick edging and then stepping stones to form a random path. Most of the beds then in-filled with soil ready for planting and then Kate got to work planting everything up after the summer house was put in. One of the most challenging projects to date all done by just 3 bears, but what a space.
